30 Days of Lists: Day 26, 27, 28, 29, 30

Man, I am horrible at keeping up with these!  Oh well, I've been busy with the baby, school work, and catching up on sleep.  I thought I was back in the swing of things, but Lizzy decided to go through a little growth spurt!

Things to Do Before My Next Birthday
1.  Move to Minnesota and get the house set-up.
2.  Find a way to make some money!
3.  Accept that I will see snow on the ground and the temperature be under freezing for the rest of my life on my birthday.
4.  Get a snow suit.
5.  Find a way to make some steady income...  like finally deciding on a craft to sell!
6.  Enjoy 25 as much as I can before I turn 26!

My Overused Words and Phrases
1.  Definitely
2.  Wud up!
3.  Huh?

If I Ruled the World...
1.  Money would be obsolete and everyone would be able to get along and share everything.
2.  Flash mobs would be a common occurrence.
3.  Classic cars would be put back into production.
4.  Tattoos and hair color wouldn't matter at your workplace.
5.  I would travel to every country for diplomacy (really just so I could travel).

Things that Were Awesome About this Month
1.  Had my daughter!!!

I'm Proud of Myself for...
1.  Being able to take care of two kids.
2.  Teaching my 2-year-old her colors, the ABCs and their sounds, animals and their sounds, shapes, and numbers.
3.  Being in the Army.
4.  Settling down, even though I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY miss partying.
5.  Starting to get creative again and learning new skills.
6.  Winning a scholarship for a 1st place piece in an art show...  Yeah, it was in high school, but it was still one of my best moments.
7.  Landing a really hot husband (haha!) who just happens to be an amazing man.

Well, that's all the lists for this month!  I have to say it was pretty fun and got me to think about some things.  It will be nice to look on these down the road.  Maybe even do them again in a year and see how things have changed.

Today I'm really excited, because the family and I are going to an antique fair not too far from our town!  I'm hoping we score some really awesome stuff.  Either way I'm bringing along the camera and will post about it next week!  Have a good weekend!

i want to travel 60s

2.  Take classes that will help with my hobbies.  Sewing, knitting, saxophone, drawing photography, mechanic...

8.  Have an awesome craft room.

9.  Have an amazing closet that will most likely be an open closet in my craft room.  I love this idea!

10.  Own a 1959 Cadillac DeVille.  My dream car!  They are so amazing!  Wouldn't mind the airstream, either.

11.  Buy a ton more English bulldogs.  How could you not love these dogs?!

Things I Like to Do When I'm Sick
1.  SLEEP!
2.  Eat chicken noodle soup and drink tea.
3.  Watch cheesy day time TV like Judge Mathis and Cheaters.  Sometimes even Maury.

Doing that list of winning the lottery really makes me hate money!  Only because I don't have a lot.  Makes me so mad that celebrities can get $25 million for making one movie.  What do they do with all that money!  Its insane!  I need to start a charity in my name or something.  Haha.  Or maybe Brad and Angelina will adopt me.
I never play the lottery because it doesn't seem worth it with the odds.  Plus, the last 3 people who have won the national lottery have been killed!

Sorry, went on a little rant.  Hope everyone's weekend is a good one!  We're stuck in Fayetteville and its rainy.  Sigh.  Can't wait till the weather gets nicer and cooler!  Anyone doing anything fun?

30 Days of Lists: Day 20

shows i wish would come back 30 days of lists

And when I say The Real World, I mean the first Real World.  The one they actually had to get real jobs, it dealt with real issues, and the whole show wasn't about hooking up with everyone.

30 Days of Lists: Day 18, 19, & 20

I have been horrible about posting lately.  I'm not going to lie.  I had a bit of a breakdown today. Being attached to a newborn 24/7 is really hard work!  Its tough seeing my husband leave the house for work, go to a show, or play golf, and I have to stay here and still be a mom.  I feel a lot better crying it all out.  Haha, I think I needed that.  Sometimes its nice just to let everything go instead of trying to keep yourself together all the time.  At least it is for me!  The last list, the dream space list, also helped.  I love looking at pictures and day dreaming of what my future woman cave will be like!

A Few Favorite Things
1.  Being at a bar with my friends hanging out or dancing.
2.  Being at a show singing to the songs the band is playing.
3.  Hanging out with my best friend and venting about things that make us mad.
4.  Finishing a project!
5.  Eating out at restaurants.
6.  My camera.
7.  Buying a new book.
8.  New vintage items I pick up.

Inventions I Wish Were Real
1.  Teleportation device.
2.  X-ray goggles.
3.  Hover cars.
4.  Personal jet packs.
5.  Wonkavision.

My Dream Space
I think this list deserves a couple of pictures to go along with it.  That and, like I said, I love looking for this kind of stuff.  I did a similar post like this awhile ago with some pictures I had on Pinterest, but I have many, many more dealing with this subject.  If you've been following a long time, don't worry, I am not using the same ones!
trailer for woman cave
This trailer is so adorable, and it would be awesome to have my own little space away from EVERYONE out in my backyard!

oraganized craft space
This space is small, organized and has everything that I would need to craft.  I could easily put this in the corner of a room if that's all the space I had.

written on pink wallpaper
I don't know why I love these walls so much.  I think I still have that little kid urge to write all over them.

sequence gold wall
I'm usually not into gold or flashy things, but this accent wall would motivate me to get moving on anything.  How could it not?!  If there was a big window in the room, I'm sure it would brighten up the whole place with all that light reflecting off of it!  Speaking of...

retractable skylights
Sunlight is a natural energy booster for me.  I would love to create in a space that had skylights to let in all the sunshine.

mason jars filled with buttons and ribbon storage
LOOK AT ALL THESE BUTTONS AND RIBBONS!!

thread on thread holder spools
Looking at thread holders like these make me so jealous.  I know this person didn't go out and buy all of these at once.  They most likely bought them as they needed them for projects.  Can't wait till I have a ton of supplies for the same reason!

pink vanity vintage
Every girl deserves an awesome vanity to get ready with since we take so much time...  And have a ton of supplies that need storing.

retro speakers
I hate the look of most modern speakers.  These retro cabinet ones would go perfect with everything I want in my woman cave!  I NEED music in my work space.

airstream trailer christmas hanging lights
I've seen so many people blogging about Airstream trailers that they have grown on me, too.  I love these hanging Airstream lights.  So cute!

urban outfitters chevron dress form
Secia, from Petite Insanities, did a post about Urban Outfitters the other day.  I completely forgot how many cool things that they carry!  So, I went over to there website to do some browsing and found this amazing dress form!  A regular dress form already adds a lot to a room, but with a zig-zag pattern?  Beautiful!

I did a small makeover last night.  I think it works a lot better.  I also love using a photo I took as a header instead of trying to redraw a drawing I did on paper to one in Photoshop. That took forever and it ended up looking pretty bad!  Hopefully you all like this one better!  If you have any suggestions, please let me know!

Is everyone keeping up with the lists?  Or are you doing them every couple of days like I have been doing?
Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with "letting it all go?"  How about all you moms out there with 2 kids?  How did you manage them both without going crazy?!  or did you go crazy :)

30 Days of Lists: Day 17

Fictional Characters I Have Fallen in Love With
1.  Mr Darcy.
2.  Eric Northman from True Blood (played by Alexander Skarsgaard).
3.  Gilbert Grape from What's Eating Gilbert Grape (played by Johnny Depp).
4.  John Smith's friend, Thomas, from Pocahantas.
5.  Hando from Romper Stomper (played by Russell Crowe).
6.  Noah from The Notebook (played by Ryan Gosling).
7.  Duke of Suffolk from The Tudors (played by Henry Cavill).
8.  Jack Skellington.

Some of these I may or may not have fallen in love with because of the attractive men that played the role.  Haha

30 Days of Lists: Day 16

Dream Jobs
1.  Tattoo artist.
2.  Owning my own vintage shop.
3.  Owning my own clothing design company and store.
4.  Owning any kind of business for myself.
5.  Helicopter electrician.
6.  Photographer.
7.  Writing my own craft book and it becoming a best seller.
8.  Full-time blogger.
9.  Restorer of classic cars.

30 Days of Lists: Day 14

My Favorite Outfits to Wear
1.  Skinny jeans, t-shirt, and flats.  This is usually what I wear most of the time.  So comfortable!
2.  Skinny jeans, polo shirt, and Sambas.  A little more dressed up, but not by much.  I love Sambas.  I've been wearing them since before I was 10!
3.  Vintage inspired dress, heels, and jewelry.  This does not happen that much, but when it does I feel amazing.
4.  Skirt, polo shirt, fishnets, and loafers.  I haven't worn this in forever.  I usually only wear it when I go to soul nights, and there hasn't been one around in awhile.  If you've never been to a soul night, I highly recommend it.  Soul, Motown, rock steady and old R&B are the best things to dance to.  Think of artists like Smokey Robinson, Otis Redding, James Brown...

I just realized how boring my wardrobe is...

30 Days of Lists: Day 12 & 13

Things that Motivate Me
1.  80's music.  How could the upbeat sounds of Wham! not get you motivated?!
2.  Blogs and Pinterest.  So many pretty pictures, DIY tutorials, and crafts make me want to create!
3.  Getting something new.  Its horrible, but its true.  If I get new thread, fabric, yarn, I want to use it right away.  Then I get bored.  Sigh.  Working on this!
4.  My daughters and husband.  I want to accomplish things so they will be proud of me.  Or i want to finish projects so they can use/wear them.  Doing stuff for other people is a lot more motivational than doing things for myself.
5.  Money.  Another sad one, but its true!  I'm only going to this medical transcription school so I can earn a little extra money while working from home.
6.  Rewards.  Speaks for itself.
7.  The satisfaction of finishing something.  This has been getting more of a inspirational tool for me.  Since I have actually been finishing projects in recent months I know what that feeling feels like, and its awesome!

Things I Do to Procrastinate
1.  Clean.  This one seems strange.  Let me explain:  If I don't want to do something, say emptying the dishwasher, I'll do other things around the house that aren't as annoying, so I will avoid doing the chore, but feeling a sense of accomplishment at the same time.  Haha.  Or I'm waiting for my husband to eventually do it.
2.  Pinterest/reading blogs.  These are the more fun things I enjoy to procrastinate.
3.  Making lists/planning.  This should probably be a huge number one, but since these are in no particular order, I won't bother.  Planning is the BIGGEST thing I do to procrastinate.  Its the same thing as cleaning.  I'm not actually doing what I need to do, but I'm planning for what I need to do, and in my mind, you can never plan enough.
3.  Watch TV.
4.  Working on other projects besides the one that I should be working on.  When I write all this stuff down, it really doesn't make sense!  I'm putting forth the same amount of energy as I would put out if I were doing whatever task I needed to do.
5.  Looking at clothes.  Modcloth is the devil.

I find it interesting how blogs/Pinterest are on both lists!

30 Days of Lists: Day 12

Never Have I Ever...
1.  Gotten into a car accident.
2.  Been arrested.
3.  Gone to a prom.
4.  been to a drive-in.
5.  Gone bungee jumping.
6.  Sang karaoke.
7.  Played on a sports team.
8.  Been outside the country for vacation.  I've been to Iraq, but I don't really like counting that since I was forced to go.
9.  Eaten lobster.
10.  Posted a vlog.

30 Days of Lists: Day 11

Favorite Things About This Time of Year
1.  Jeans, cardigans, and light jackets.
2.  The weather is finally cooling off!  I know I'll hate this next year when I'm in Minnesota.
3.  Fall colors.  Oranges, yellows, and browns remind me of vintage!
4.  The state fair!
5.  Halloween parties.
6.  Time to take advantage of owning a crock pot.
7.  Pumpkin flavored anything.
8.  My bulldog can finally spend more than 15 minutes outside during the day!

I just wanted to take a quick moment to remember everyone that passed on September 11th, 2001.  Everyone in the planes, all the buildings, and anyone who died trying to help.  Also, anyone who has died in the senseless wars that followed this event.  It has been 10 years ago today.  Hopefully, the death toll will soon stop rising.

30 Days of Lists: Day 10

At this moment...
its 6:30 a.m.
I am feeding my daughter.
Brutus is snoring really loud.
I'm hoping Lizzy will sleep at least another 3 hours.
its the 5th time in a row I've been awake to see the sun come up.
I'm happy to be able to get my post done so early!

30 Days of Lists: Day 6, 7, 8, 9

I'm trying to get back into blogging after giving birth to my daughter.  Its been hard just checking my email, Facebook, and catching up on all the blogs I read, let alone posting.  Its crazy.  I'm away from the computer for two days and I come back to my Bloglovin' account to have over 300 blog posts!  I had to unfollow a couple of them.  I realized I was reading waaaaaaay too many blogs, and it took sooooo long to read them.  Even if I keep up everyday I still have 50 every morning to read!
Anyways, back to the point of the post.  I'm getting back to the lists posts.  I've included 4 days of lists in this one.  Enjoy!

Favorite Color Combinations
1.  Green and purple.  Whenever I wear green I always end up using purple eye shadow.  I have no idea why.  I love those colors together!
2.  Black and white.  Kind of boring, but it always works.
3.  Turquoise and red.  I would have never thought these colors would go together until I saw a kitchen decorated in this color on Pinterest.  Beautiful.
4.  Orange, brown, and yellow.  Total vintage colors and I love them.

I'm Not Very Good At...
1.  Finishing things.  I have talked about it before, but if you are a new reader, I started this blog to help me finish projects.  I am embarrassed to say that I know I have things that are packed away and forgotten about because I took on something else.  Its so sad and I am working on changing it!
2.  Doing school work.  I am going to school for medical transcription so I can help out financially working from home.  I am so bad at this school.  I think its because I'm not interested in it.  The work is so tiresome and repetitive!  Its something that I have to do, though.  Everything in life can't be fun.
3.  Knowing how much I can take on.  I'm a stay-at-home mom to now 2 kids, I'm going to school, learning to sew, knitting, blogging, trying to keep a house clean, now learning photography, trying to start a business...  I need more hours in the day!
4.  Sleeping.  I could have trouble sleeping because the above number.  I can't sleep because I constantly think about things before I go to bed.  Most of the time, stuff that's not even important.  Its the only time during the day I relax, and I use it to worry about things that aren't done...  like number 1.  Luckily, I don't need too much sleep to function.
5.  Having self-confidence.  I am getting better about this, but I still look down on myself about things.  Not only my looks, but about things I do.  It never turns out good enough!  This could sometimes be a good thing if it motivated me, but it usually does the opposite.  Maybe this is why I never finish things!

Things That Remind Me of My Childhood
1.  Fishing.
2.  Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
3.  Disney Cartoons.
4.  TGIF shows.
5.  Same color sweat shirt and sweat pant suits.
6.  Home made clothing.
7.  American Girl dolls.

Weekend Plans
1.  Clean the house and unpack after being at the hospital during the week.
2.  Blog!
3.  Work on sewing.
4.  Start school work back up.
5.  Take Maggie to the playground.
6.  Start walking the trail by my house since the weather is finally cooling off.

30 Days of Lists: Day 5

I don't have an iPhone (I know.  I'm pretty sure I'm one of the few bloggers that doesn't!), but I'll participate in this list today anyway.

I Need an App For:
1.  keeping my daughter from having temper tantrums.
2.  reminding me that I have laundry in the washer and it needs to be hung before it gets moldy.
3.  telling me if the dishes in the dishwasher are clean or dirty.
4.  keeping me on task of finishing things!  I am so bad about starting a project and not finishing them.  Right now my blog is helping, but it would be awesome to have another constant reminder.
5.  turning off my brain.  I cannot go to sleep easily at all.  I think about things wwwaaayyy  too much.  Stuff that most of the time doesn't even matter!
6.  writing an organized grocery list.  I'm a little neurotic sometimes when it comes to list.  The grocery list, though, will be written over a couple of times.  First everything I need, then again organized by where it is in the store.  I bet they already have an app for this!
7.  telling me to not buy anything.  It would be nice if it would know when I was about to spend money and shock me or something.  I'm very impulsive sometimes and will buy without thinking about things...  Like the camera I just bought last week when I wasn't having a very good day.  Whoops!  (Although, I am really excited to get it!!!)
8.  telling me how long I've sat in front of the TV.  I really want this one now that I think about it.  I can't believe how much time I waste in front of the TV.  I do have crafts I'm working on sometimes, but its depressing that's how I spend my days!!!  I'm sure it will be better when we move out of this town, because there is literally NOTHING to do.  When we move to Minneapolis we're putting our TV in the basement and just having a sitting area up in the living room to deter us from watching too much.  Can't wait!
9.  putting on makeup.  Ever seen The 5th Element?

30 Days of Lists: Day 4

Things to Do Sunday Morning
1.  Cook breakfast.  Usually blueberry pancakes, eggs, and bacon.  Yum.
2.  Lay around the house in pj's.  Sunday is always a good day to relax.
3.  Chores.  Its weird that I just said its a nice day to relax, but its also a good day to get stuff done.  I don't really know how that works, but its does.
4.  Blogging.  Today would be a perfect day to write all my blog posts for the up coming week, but since I'm a procrastinator, that never seems to happen.
5.  Thrifting.  Pretty sure this is self-explanatory :)
6.  Crafting or creating something in any medium.  Again, self-explanatory.
7.  Going to the park or spending the day outside.  I'm pretty sure its called SUNday for a reason.

This stuff has me pretty sad.  I do not have the energy to do anything right now.  This kid is getting HUGE!  My first daughter was almost 9 pounds and was born on her due date, and this kid feels bigger!  I'm 5 days overdue.  Tuesday is not coming soon enough!

Hope everyone's weekend was awesome!

30 Days of Lists: Day 3

People I Love
1.  All of my family and in-laws (yes, its true.  My in-laws are awesome.)
2.  My husband, Dan.
3.  My daughter, Maggie, and soon to be daughter, Lizzy.
4.  My dog, Brutus.  He's not a person, but he acts more like one than a dog.
5.  All of my friends.  I'm at the point in my life where I would rather have more really close friends than just a lot of acquaintances.
6.  Alexander Skarsgaard, Russell Crowe, Ryan Gosling, Jake Gyllenhaal, Vinnie Jones, Michael Madsen, Henry Cavill, Tom Hardy...  I've never met this men, but I'm sure I could easily love any one of them.
7.  Any old school soul, R&B, Motown, ska, or rock steady singer.  These people's music can lift me up whenever I am down.
8.  Old people.  They're adorable and they're at the point in their lives where they don't care and say whatever they want.  This usually results in some pretty funny conversations.

How's everyone's weekend?  Doing anything fun?  I'm still waiting for my daughter to come! If she's doesn't come before Tuesday I have a scheduled induction.  I didn't want to go that route, but at least she'll be here!

30 Days of Lists: Day 2

Today's list is all about when you're the happiest.  Its weird.  I never really sat down and thought about this, but I guess this is what these lists are for!

I am happiest when...
1.  my husband and I are spending the night at home drinking together or going to have dinner and movie alone.
2.  my daughter comes up, hugs me, and says "I love you, mommy" for no reason.
3.  I am reading a really good book.
4.  I finish a project and it turns out really well.
5.  I'm out with a bunch of friends at a bar/show and dancing.
6.  my husband and I get some time to go on a mini vacation by ourselves.
7.  a piece of clothing fits PERFECTLY.
8.  I have just finished a really good yoga session (CANNOT WAIT TO START THIS AGAIN!!!).
9.  we go visit my grandmother in northeastern NC.  Everything goes much slower there and all we do is sit around and hang out.  Its really nice to do nothing sometimes!

30 Days of Lists: Day 1

I decided for September since the baby was going to be here I needed an easy way to keep up with doing posts.  I signed up for the 30 Days of Lists that I'm sure a couple of other people are doing.  I know for a fact The Curious Pug is participating, because that's where I heard about!

Day 1:  September Goals
1.  Bond with my new little girl, Lizzy.  I'm sure I'm going to have no problem with this.
2.  Catch up on sleep.  Not sure how this is going to work with a newborn, toddler and husband possibly going to California for 2 weeks.
3.  Keep the house clean.  Again, not sure how this is going to happen.
4.  Start back up with school work and get next unit done by the time my maternity extension is over.
5.  Get out all my pre-pregnancy clothes out!!!  And more for the fall.  SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!!
6.  Start slowly with walking and yoga again.  I mean really slowly.  Its crazy how much endurance you lose when you're pregnant.  I'm glad I have the trail right by my house and the weather is getting cooler.  Yay, fall!

That's all for today's list.  I'll be back tomorrow for the next one.  Post your blog if you're doing this, too!
