About Me
My name is Barbara and I am busy these days to say the least. When I'm not taking care of my two little girls, I love sitting down to craft or write on this here blog. I also enjoy taking walks, doing yoga, and partying with my friends -- that is if I can get the time! I am impulsive and bite off more than a can chew, but whatever it is usually ends up working out in the end.
A Little History Lesson...
I was born and raised in North Carolina and lived there most of my life. I tried going to college, but it didn't interest me (not that school ever did except for band and art), so I went to an electrician school. Right before I got my certificate, I decided the Army was the way to go and enlisted for 6 years as a blackhawk electrician and was stationed in Texas. I met my husband on Myspace (ew! I know!) and we got married a day after meeting each other in Minneapolis. I'm so happy to say we've been together for 4 years! I deployed to Iraq and then got pregnant with my daughter, Maggie (whoops!). I left the Army, and moved back to NC to be with my husband at his Army base.
Present and Future
Right now we just moved to St. Paul, MN! I love it! I'm hoping being in the Twin Cities will give me major inspiration to craft more and start up a little business from home. After being in the military my dream is to be my own boss! I never want someone telling me what to do again!
