I finally opened an Etsy shop. Lately I have been thrifting around the Twin Cities. And, let me just say, if you're ever in the area, I highly recommend you shopping. I have gotten so much stuff! So, much, that I pretty much had to open a shop because I have started hoarding housewares and furniture. The husband is not too happy about it. Haha, I don't blame him, though. I see something vintage and I HAVE to buy it. I feel like the Sarah Mclachlan of the vintage world! And for that reason I called my shop "Adopt Vintage." So if you want to check it out, here's the link!

Wow. It has been a long time since I have written anything. A lot of stuff has happened in the past couple of months. A lot of stuff I can't believe. Something had to change and it did. Me as well as everyone involved are better off for it. We have all turned around with an attitude that is a complete 180 compared to before! Its really refreshing and feels good to start a new chapter.
As for the things that have been going on lately... I'm going to be working soon (also will start school in mid January... ugh). SCARY! I haven't worked since I was pregnant with my first daughter. Over 4 years ago. I start working security with the airport in a couple of weeks and have an interview with Goodwill as a donation processor tomorrow (first dibs on all the stuff that comes in!). I am really excited about the Goodwill job. I have been going to at least one thrift store a day for the past couple of weeks and have found SSSOOO much stuff. I will hopefully get around to photographing it soon. To give you a little hint, I have started to hoard Pyrex.
Hope things have been going great for everyone! Looking forward to keeping up with all the blogs I used to read!

Panther Tattoo
This is my new tattoo by my friend who is doing an apprenticeship at Blue Flame Tattoo in Raleigh, NC. He did an amazing job! Its right inside my right bicep and near my armpit. Whew! That was tender! You might be wondering why I chose this tattoo as its a little random, but I had seen drawings he had done practicing, and I loved his panthers! Him and his girlfriend are pretty much my best friends in the entire world, so I figured I get something that reminds me of them, too (there's a picture of something similar hanging in their house). Plus, a panther with a dagger through it?! Awesome! His name is Nathan Hatfield, so look out for his name in the future in tattoo magazines! He's going places!

Now and Lately Pt. 2
Whoa, its been awhile since I have posted and Blogger changes everything! This is going to take some getting used to. I had a batch of pictures I posted awhile ago, and figured I'd do it again. I haven't had much time to get a post together because my youngest, who is now 7 1/2 months, has been an absolute handful. But here are a couple of more pictures from what has gone on since the last time I posted.
Got my hair cut
My little girl is getting bigger
I love these tiny little feet
Stayed with my sister and her crazy boxers
Had a playdate with an old friend
Had a playdate with my daughter
Gave myself a new tattoo!
I got a real tattoo recently that I need to post. Hopefully I'll get to posting regularly again soon. I miss it. Isn't that weird? Hope everyone's spring is going well! We've been having off and on awesome weather here in Minnesota. Come on, spring!

Now and Lately Pt. 1
It has been a pretty looong time since I have posted anything. I have been relaxing, visiting, and taking time for me for the last couple of weeks. It has been amazing! I really don't want it to end, but I know I have to go home. Let's just hope it feels like spring by the time I get back to Minnesota. Here's a couple of pictures of what's been going on.
Just so you know, that little bundle of green above is fourteen 4-leaf clovers. I don't know how, but I'm awesome at finding them! Wish it would bring me all the luck it should! But I guess I'm ruining the luck because I'm looking out for them.
Just wanted to let everyone know I'm still alive! I'm soaking up as much down time as I can, because once I get back home its going to be time to move nonstop again!

Vintage Fabric
As I am getting really close to finishing my first piece of clothing I have sewn myself I have been looking around for fabric and dreaming up what I want to sew next. Its really crazy how easy it is to do when you follow the patterns and directions! My first piece was a button up shirt, which I will post about when I am through and its photographed, but now I am thinking with all this nice weather and summer around the corner I need to start looking at fabric for a dress. I just scored some really awesome fabrics from Bingo Vintage and that started my quest to find more pretty vintage fabrics! Here's a couple I have favorited on Etsy.
I am so in love with the last print! Red, black, and blue starburst??? Love it... I actually think I am going to buy it right now. I can't pass it up.
aaannnnnnnnndddddddddd... done.
Hope you all are having a wonderful week! Its in the 70s in Minnesota and I cannot believe it! And only one more week until I make the 23 hour drive back home to North Carolina!

Stop Kony 2012
I don't like posting about my political, religious, or social beliefs on my blog. I like keeping it a positive and argument free place. I saw this video on Facebook and it is too powerful not to share. It doesn't matter what you believe in, you will be affected by this video.
Share this video with everyone you know. Pass it on. Make a difference.

Spring is in the air...
***If you have never checked out Lena Hoschek's collections, you need to get on that! She has AMAZING pieces. They are kind of expensive, but they are so pretty to look at. Especially her lookbooks. You can also go to the website and get a free poster. She puts one out with each collection and on the back of the poster is the catalog! So cool!***
I had to put together a little spring inspiration this morning because its going to be 55 degrees outside today and I can't wait to take the kids to the park! That sounds so weird of me to say, but it has been in the 20s and 30s lately and even snowing, so I will take 55 over that any day! My mood has been less than great lately and the weather may have something to do with it. I will be in North Carolina for 3 weeks soon enjoying the warm weather and won't be back to the Twin Cities until mid-April. Hopefully by then it will be really nice out! I just might have to do this every year to battle the end-of-winter-blues (and not saying blues because winter is over, but because it drags out so long). Hope all these awesome things are getting you into the mood for Spring! I am ready!

Window Shopping: Carnaby Streak
I am really sad to say I don't remember where I found this shop, but I am so excited I did! The Carnaby Streak is all about keeping the 60s mod style alive. They have so many adorable dresses and they are made-to-order. Made-to order!!! You pick the design you like, then the colors, and you can even get custom sizing. Plus, they are affordable! Some dresses are 50 GBP, which is around 75 USD, and that is totally worth it for a handmade dress. I will definitely be buying one in the near future for summer! Check these out and imagine all the color possibilities!
Ahhh! They are so cute! I wouldn't mind having one of those scooters either. That's another summer accessory I need here in the Twin Cities.
Hope you're having a good day! Got all my groceries and getting ready for my first snow emergency!

Congratulations!
You must have incredibly good luck, because I remember you saying you won a ton of giveaways not too long ago! Random.org loves you!
I'm thinking about a lot right now. Thinking about how I have no college and how expensive it is. Thinking about joining the National Guard and getting back with the military. I miss it, plus, the full payment of a real college would be amazing and so would retiring in 20 years. I hope you stick around as I'll be posting every now and then to keep up with this thing. I did start is so I wouldn't quit it.
So, good-bye for now! I hope you hear from me soon!

A Little Quiet
I know things have been a little quieter than normal for the last couple of days. I got my grades back from school, and it was not good news at all. I've been put on academic probation for a month and if I don't improve I'll have to withdraw. Sigh. Its my own fault. I'm not interested in it, so I have given up. I really need to change that attitude. Its so hard, though! I'll try to post every now and then, but it may not be for awhile! I will, however, announce the winner of the necklace tonight for the giveaway. Thanks for understanding and I'll be back when its Spring!!!

Last 5 Pins
Its been awhile since I have done a Last 5 Pins post. Plus recently I have had no motivation to do anything very fun. I was sick, then both kids were sick, and now the husband is sick. I'm pretty sure the littlest is getting it again! Ugh! Anyways, here's the pins! Click picture for my sources!
How adorable are these heels! I love them! I need to get them by the time spring is here, because I am going to wear the hell out of them!
We're toying with the idea of getting a kitten for my daughter. Honestly its hard not to want a cat with all these blogs with pictures of them. Especially the ones of them dressing up! But this pod style cat bed is awesome!
Sigh. This is so pretty!!! I never thought that shade of orange and blue would go together, but it totally does!
I love really simple dresses that don't have a lot of flare or fabric. This one is so cute... and that scooter is really awesome.
And anyone who can appreciate this reference is awesome. Jarith, I would have let you have power of me.
Hope everyone's week is going good! Don't forget to enter the giveaway if you haven't already! You had until Wednesday night at 12:00 am!

Mid-Century Monday: Credenzas
I think one of my favorite pieces of furniture is a credenza. Its a great place for storage and also the perfect place to display all your favorite things! I have been looking all over the Twin Cities and have yet to find one in my price range. There is a local vintage store that I follow on Facebook called Golden Age Design that has found some on the side of the road in perfect condition! Why would you put a beautiful piece of furniture like this on the side of the road to go to the dump?! That makes me cry! It really makes me want to drive through every neighborhood in the metro area and try to find my own. That would be hilarious if I found one, because the only people I would have with me are my two daughters that are both under 3. I would have to stake the place out until my husband was able to get there and help! It would so be worth it. I am in love with the first one. Teak is such a lovely color of wood! Which is your favorite?
